Christmas Has Arrived

You may have noticed in my last post that our tree is up. Yup, Christmas has arrived in Manila! Since they don’t have a Thanksgiving holiday between Halloween and Christmas the malls get decked out in their sparkly Christmas finest right at the beginning of November. Considering I have always thought that the decorations were up for far too short of a time in the States, I am totally fine with decorations everywhere early. Last year it seemed very strange to hear Christmas music in the malls on November 1st but this year I am totally embracing the early arrival of the Christmas season and getting in on the action. Besides, we are going to be out of town for most of the holiday so may as well enjoy it while we can.

Before we decorated the tree Coco and I went out to dinner. On our way out to the restaurant I snapped a quick photo of her in by the Christmas tree in the lobby of our building. Gotta love the shorts and the flip flops by a Christmas tree! So strange! We walked out of our building towards the restaurant and were impressed by the beautiful orange lights dressing up the palm trees all the way to the tips of their leaves. Gorgeous!!

I mean, seriously, how beautiful is that?! ♥ ♥ ♥ Love. ♥ ♥ ♥

Then we headed into the mall and saw all kinds of Christmasy stuff. Like this

and this!
(Uh huh, life-sized white tigers with heads that move from side to side!)

Then we had some pizza and headed home to decorate our own tree..
