Last Swimming Class

Coco has her last swimming lesson last week. She has learned so much there –she can get in and out of the pool independently, she can float, she has developed an amazing lung capacity and she is learning the freestyle! It’s impressive. They had two races at the end of the lesson and my little competitor won both times. She is really strong and determined.IMG_8734 IMG_8740 IMG_8733 IMG_8725 IMG_8753 IMG_8754 IMG_8743 IMG_8760 After the lesson there was a little merienda/party to say good-bye to her. There was good food including pancit, a specialty here in the Philippines. It was tasty (even though I know it’s made with Knorr cubes so it contained MSG ๐Ÿ˜ฆ ). We brought homemade banana muffins with chocolate chips and coconut water which were both huge hits!IMG_8774 IMG_8773
I thought it would be fun to have gift bags for all the kids, too. I filled them with note paper, markers, stencils, stickers, sharpeners and candy. They loved them! ๐Ÿ™‚IMG_8768 IMG_8769 IMG_8822Coco and her coach are really going to miss each other. He was really, really good with her! He brought in paints for the kids to finger paint a poster and then stick photos of all the kids to paste on it. Of course Coco took it one step further! That’s my girl! ๐Ÿ™‚IMG_8806IMG_8802ย  IMG_8818ย  IMG_8819 IMG_8820
